Mr. Nick Van Cleve is a Partner with The Fuentes Firm, specializing in commercial auto defense and insurance litigation. He handles high-exposure personal injury, wrongful death, and products liability cases on behalf of our transportation industry clients.

Since joining the firm as a law clerk in 2018, Mr. Van Cleve has spent his entire legal career focused exclusively on commercial auto and insurance defense litigation. He is a disciplined trial lawyer known for his strong courtroom presence, credibility with juries, and ability to connect with factfinders in high-exposure cases. Mr. Van Cleve has repeatedly demonstrated the ability to step into the firm’s most difficult matters, stabilize trial risk, and execute effective defense strategies against top-tier plaintiff firms.

Mr. Van Cleve earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center. During law school, he interned with Justice Harvey Brown of Texas’s First Court of Appeals and with Judge Gray H. Miller of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
