Hayli Mackey

Law Clerk

Hayli Mackey is a first-year law student at Texas Tech University School of Law, where she is a candidate for her Juris Doctor in May 2028. Prior to law school, Hayli graduated magna cum laude from Texas Tech University with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Sociology.

Hayli has demonstrated a strong commitment to advocacy, earning recognition as an Overall Top Oralist in the Texas Tech Board of Barristers 1L Negotiations Competition and winning the 1L Mock Trial Competition. Her dedication to trial advocacy extends beyond her own competitions — she has served as a coach and mentor for both a university national mock trial team and a high school mock trial team, helping competitors develop case theory, witness examination skills, and courtroom presence. The university team placed in the top four at national competitions on two occasions under her involvement.

Before law school, Hayli gained practical legal experience as a legal assistant at a civil litigation firm, where she supported trial preparation and client communication, and as a legal intern at a district attorney’s office.

We are excited to have her join our team.
