Autumn Owen
Partner
Mrs. Autumn Owen is a Partner at The Fuentes Firm, specializing in the defense of personal injury and wrongful death claims for clients in the transportation industry in the Central Texas region. She brings a unique perspective to litigation, having worked as a Licensed Litigation Claims Examiner before law school—giving her insider knowledge of how insurers evaluate cases and make coverage decisions.
Since joining the firm in 2021, Mrs. Owen has established herself as a skilled trial attorney with a proven track record in high-exposure cases. In a recent Bexar County trial, she secured a jury verdict of only $22,650 against a plaintiff’s demand of $2.5 million—less than 1% of the requested amount. Her strategic approach combines courtroom advocacy with practical business judgment, consistently delivering favorable outcomes for trucking companies, fleet operators, and insurers.
As a firm leader, Mrs. Owen actively mentors young attorneys and law clerks through the firm’s mentorship program, helping develop the next generation of transportation defense attorneys.
Beyond her litigation practice, Mrs. Owen is deeply engaged in the transportation industry. She serves as an Officer on the Texas Trucking Association’s Emerging Leaders Council and participates in its Ad Hoc Tort Reform and Legislative/Regulatory Committees. Her advocacy work contributed to significant 2021 legislation, including the newly enacted Actions Regarding Commercial Motor Vehicle chapter of the Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code—critical protections for the trucking industry.
Mrs. Owen graduated cum laude from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law, where she was a member of the Moot Court Team and inducted into the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Service from Middle Georgia State University.
