Justin Smook

Mr. Justin Smook is a dedicated law clerk with a strong background in insurance claims and litigation, bringing over a decade of professional experience to our team.

Before pursuing his legal career, Justin spent more than 10 years with GEICO, where he held various roles in claims adjusting, litigation management, and compliance. His experience includes working closely with defense counsel, participating in mediations, and managing complex claims. Justin’s time as an adjuster provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the claims process, which he now applies to his legal studies and practice.

Justin is currently pursuing his Juris Doctor at the University of Houston Law Center, where he has distinguished himself through his academic achievements and leadership. He serves as a provisional member of the Houston Business & Tax Law Journal and is an active member of the University Hearing Board.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Management with concentrations in Finance and Global Management from Binghamton University. As an undergraduate, he excelled academically and took on leadership roles in the Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity, in addition to winning a senior case competition.
